Raised Garden Beds Are a Perfect Way to Hide Tree Stumps
My mom cut down 3 huge trees in her backyard a few years ago. Instead of having the stumps grinded, she covered them up with raised garden beds. At the time she had some remodeling work done. She had someone put up a new fence and build a new deck. With the old wood from the old fence and deck, she was able to construct multiple beds throughout the yard while recycling material that would have otherwise been discarded.
Raised garden beds are easier to maintain and harvest because you don't have to bend over as much putting strain on your back and leg muscles. The height of the beds are high enough where you can sit down comfortably and tend to the garden. Since most of her garden is contained in the raised beds or in pots, we haven't had to spend much time pulling weeds.
If you don't have spare wood lying around in your yard like my mom, premade kits can be purchased at a reasonable prices and are quick and easy to setup.
